BESSAMER UNLOADING AT SLIP
Bessemer being unloading at slip
This postcard is titled "Bessemer being (sic) unloading at slip, Port Stanley".
The electric locomotive which is involved in the unloading indicates that the boat shown here
could not have been the ill fated Marquette and Bessemer No. 2 which sank in 1909, since the
railway was not electrified until 1915. It seems likely that this was the second Marquette and Bessemer No. 2
which replaced the ship that sank.
